Providing Critical information and FeedbackThe PARCC Educator Leader Cadre (ELC) is an extensive network of state and local educators who provide critical information and feedback to the PARCC consortium and engage with colleagues in their states about the PARCC assessments. ELC members are on the front lines of building and expanding the number of teachers, building and district leaders who understand, support and feel ownership of the successful implementation of the PARCC assessments. Each state supports its own ELC membership, feeding into the work at the national level.
While states organize a range of activities for their K-12 communities, each year, Parcc Inc. brings together teams of K-16 educators from the PARCC states to develop expertise on the standards and PARCC and to help them become leaders in their states and among their peers. These meetings, both virtual and in-person, engage the ELC members in deep analysis of the standards and aligned materials such as the PARCC Model Content Frameworks, sample items, assessment blueprints and more.
ELC members have met multiple times throughout the past several years. Coming soon: A new portal, hosted by the Teaching Channel, for all materials developed for these meetings by PARCC and ELC members.
